Digital Printing
High-quality inkjet printing directly onto fabric rolls — unlimited colors, no screen costs, ideal for complex artwork.
Digital printing uses industrial inkjet technology to print full-color designs directly onto fabric rolls. It is the most flexible printing method for complex, photographic, or multi-color artwork with no color limits and no per-color setup fees.
How It Works
A digital file is sent directly to the printer, which jets ink onto the fabric as it passes beneath the print head. The fabric is then heat-cured to bond the ink fibers, producing a soft, breathable finish.
File Requirements
- Accepted formats: PDF, PSD, AI
- Minimum resolution: 300 DPI at final print dimensions
- Colors: Pantone+ Solid Color library preferred for closest match
- Submit files at the exact print size — do not submit at reduced scale
Resolution Check
Files submitted below 300 DPI will appear blurry when printed at full size. Always check the resolution at 100% zoom before sending.
Advantages
- One-time setup fee of $40 — no per-color screen costs
- Unlimited colors and gradients in a single print run
- Photorealistic and complex artwork prints cleanly
- Design changes between runs cost nothing extra
- Soft hand-feel — ink bonds with fibers rather than sitting on top
Limitations
- Best results on light-colored or undyed fabrics — ink is not opaque
- Pre-dyed or dark base fabrics may cause color shift in the print
- Minimum order is approximately 100 meters per colorway
- Not ideal for very dark backgrounds requiring opaque white base
Best For
Digital printing excels for tote bags, aprons, blankets, pouches, and lunch bags where intricate artwork, photography, or gradients need to be reproduced at high quality with no color count restrictions.
