2. About Work+Shelter

Work+Shelter is an ethical manufacturing company that partners with women artisans in India to create custom sewn goods, bags, apparel, and accessories. We operate production facilities in Delhi, India with account management in Chicago, USA.

3. Products and Orders

3.1 Product Information

We strive to display accurate product descriptions, images, and prices. However, we do not guarantee that all information is error-free. Colors may vary slightly due to screen differences and the handcrafted nature of our products.

3.2 Pricing

All prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change prices at any time. The price at the time of your order is the price you will be charged.

3.3 Order Acceptance

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including product availability, pricing errors, or suspected fraud. If we cancel your order after payment, you will receive a full refund.

3.4 Payment

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods supported by Stripe. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method.

4. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping times and costs vary by destination and product type. Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout but are not guaranteed. Work+Shelter is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs, or circumstances beyond our control.

5. Returns and Refunds

Due to the custom and handcrafted nature of many of our products:

  • Store products: May be returned within 30 days of delivery if unused and in original condition. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.
  • Custom orders: Custom-made products are non-refundable unless they arrive damaged or materially different from the agreed specifications.
  • Damaged items: If your order arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days with photos. We will arrange a replacement or refund at our discretion.

6. Custom Manufacturing Services

6.1 Quote Requests

Quote requests submitted through our website are not binding. A formal agreement will be established once both parties agree on specifications, pricing, and timelines.

6.2 Minimum Orders

Minimum order quantities vary by service tier and product type. Current minimums are communicated during the quoting process.

6.3 Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any designs, logos, or intellectual property you provide for custom manufacturing. Work+Shelter will not use your proprietary designs for any other purpose without your written consent.

7. User Accounts

When you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of Work+Shelter or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Work+Shelter shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Website or purchase of our products. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.
